The objective of this study was to analyze the genetic diversity among colored cotton fiber genotypes using technological characteristics fiber, seed yield and percentage identify potential parents with high performance. experiment conducted in Brazilian city Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, during 2016/2017 harvest. Twelve were used a randomized block design. that evaluated included micronaire, maturation, length, length uniformity, short index, resistance, elongation, fiber. Genetic divergence estimated Mahalanobis generalized matrix Unweighted Pair Group Arithmetic Mean (UPGMA) Tocher method. Singh method evaluate relative contributions divergence. In detecting divergence, maturation observed have contributed most. order obtain segregant populations greater variability productive potential, hybridizations between UFUJP-17 UFUJP-16 commercial cultivars could be promising. Crossing controls would higher chance success producing superior quality.
